Problem:
The client wanted to design an ecosystem for temperature, humidity, and air quality control.
The client turned to Infinity-tech to design the system, Additionally, they wanted to develop
mobile and cloud web solutions for the ecosystem. We were tasked with creating two mobile
apps. The first would help the client’s dealers integrate the IAQ sensors with smart
thermostat system. The second app to provide homeowners with comprehensive control
over their personal thermostats. As well as, the client wanted to develop a web tool to
collect data from both IAQ sensors and thermostat clouds.
Solution:

Mobile App to Register and Configure IAQ Sensors

We developed a Mobile App (Android, iOS) for the clients’ dealers, facilitating the
installation of IAQ sensors, their connection to the app, and integration with smart
thermostats. These sensors monitor indoor levels of volatile organic compounds and
particulate matter in the air. When these levels exceed safe limits, the system automatically
sends notifications to activate air purification functions or prompt filter replacement if
necessary.
Both the app and thermostat display real-time indoor air quality readings from the IAQ
sensors. In cases where homeowners do not have IAQ sensors installed, the thermostat can
estimate air quality based on filter usage time.

Mobile App to Manage and Remotely Control Smart Thermostats

Our team developed a Mobile App (Android, iOS) to help homeowners remotely monitor
and adjust heating and cooling systems in their homes and fully control the thermostats.
App Functionality
-Thermostats Monitoring: Users can monitor and have full control over the thermostats
installed as well as scheduling the thermostats.
-Display Weather Status: Users can observe current weather and forecasts.
-Notifications: Users receive thermostats reminders and alerts.
-Remote Control: Users can change thermostats settings remotely.

IoT Cloud Integration and Monitoring

We developed a web app to collect data from IAQ sensors and thermostats clouds. IAQ
sensors data cloud sends its data to thermostats hub and the thermostats hub by its turn
delivers the data to the thermostats and both thermostats hub and IAQ sensors cloud send
the data to our web app so that we can continuously monitor and display sensors data on
our tool and analyze them to discover and fix all potential issues.
