Problem:
The client approached us to engineer a smart bassinet. This innovative product utilizes
embedded sound sensors to detect crying and automatically soothe babies. Our
responsibility encompassed developing the complete IoT solution, which includes designing
the mobile app, establishing the web backend, and firmware development.

PCB Design and Firmware Development

Infinity-tech engineers took on the entire project, designing a custom PCB to meet the
client’s specifications. Additionally, we developed critical firmware components essential for
the smart bassinet’s functionality. This comprehensive approach ensured seamless
integration and optimal performance, aligning perfectly with the client’s high standards for
reliability and innovation in infant care technology.

Mobile Application

The mobile app functions both as a remote control and baby monitor. Infinity-tech
engineers developed iOS and Android versions. This app enables users to remotely manage
the bassinet, adjusting settings via their mobile phones.

App Features

• Access tips on using the bassinet effectively
• Customize soothing intensity limits and microphone sensitivity for individual baby
  needs
• Monitor their baby’s sleep statistics and review sleep trend graphs
• Receive push notifications
• Control white noise volume and adjust starting levels of soothing intensity
• Choose between Preemie and Weaning calming modes, offering different soothing
  levels and sound options
• Remote video monitoring via a built-in camera in the bassinet and app, allowing realtime observation of baby’s activities with night vision support
• Adjust soothing intensity levels remotely
• Lock a specific calming intensity level

Web Backend

Security and seamless communication between the bassinet and mobile app were
paramount for the client. The backend comprises an admin panel, a cloud-hosted singlepage application, and a suite of microservices.
